Reentry Scholarship Stipends: Spring 2023 Open Enrollment
Greetings!
The Archdiocese of San Francisco Restorative Justice Ministry in partnership with Excell Network, are accepting applications for scholarships stipends. The application period for spring 2023 is now open. Scholarship stipends are renewable each semester, students can apply to take advantage of these resources for fall 2023. Students MUST be or recently been in probation or parole, to review eligibility use the contact information below. View photos and videos of current students.
Eligibility Guidelines and requirements
If the applicant moves past the first interview, he/she must do the following to participate in the program:
Complete a second interview
Complete an online application
Provide probation or parole letters showing probation/parole periods
Provide evidence of school enrollment and schedule in an educational institution
Live and/or attend school within the San Francisco Bay Area
How It Works
Students accepted into the Reentry Scholarship Stipend program will receive both financial and personal support and they become part of a network of students and supporters. They will also be asked to meet certain requirements in order to maintain eligibility, including completing their classes and participating in certain activities.
Program participants will receive their scholarship stipend in two separate payments during the semester, stipends are from $1200-2400 divided in 3 semesters / per year.
Students will have a mentor or mentors with whom they will discuss the support they need.
Students will also have the opportunity to network with mentors and professionals at breakfasts and speaking events they must attend.
Quarterly check-in meetings and or one-on-one meetings will be scheduled.
Grades must be submitted at the end of the semester.
Students must attend one time orientations such as time management, nutritional, and goal setting orientations
Students must also join a book club, a book is assigned per semester by this program.
The Reentry Scholarship Stipend Fund is supported through the help of individual donors and a grant from the Catholic Campaign for Human Development (CCHD).
